I like to consider myself a bit of a music connoisseur. A snob, if you will. (And you can find that out for yourself this Saturday on Not Sucky Music on Marist Radio!) Last year was an excellent year for music, as we had The Hold Steady, TV on the Radio, Clipse, Mission of Burma, and a host of other great records. Fortunately for me, this year has the promise to be just as good. New stuff from Menomena (Awesome record), the Arcade Fire (awesome), Bloc Party (not too bad), Spoon, Ted Leo, Bright Eyes. Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Wilco, Radiohead, Roxy Music, and a lot more. Hell, we may even get a new Guns N Roses album this year! Although I wouldn't bet on it. And why am I telling you this? Because A) I feel it's important to forward this information, and B) I need to fill space. Onto the briefs we go.

The Marist Lock It or Lose It program made a stop in Sheahan and Leo last week, and wouldn't you know, it was pretty successful. Only four rooms total in the two dorms were left unlocked and unoccupied. So kudos to you youngsters. This PSA has been brought to you by the Marist Security HQ.

In the area around Donnelly Hall, a speed bump sign was stolen, and if you have any information regarding the theft, then please let it be known to the proper authorities. But, due to a technicality there is no speed bump there anymore. Rather, there is just a random bump in the middle of the road, which no mandate for a person to slow their vehicle down. This could eventually cause problems. Can you imagine what the SNAPmobile will be able to do now that there is one less restriction? Sure, you may be saying that there millions of other speed bumps on campus, what is one less going to do? Well, I can't answer that. But I can say that we are now on a slippery slope. Just watch yourself when you start sliding down. There very well may be no speed bumps.

A noise complaint from Lower West Cedar was responded to and the offending house was asked to quiet things down. As it turned down, they were banging on the wall so hard that pictures fell off from the other side of the wall next door. That's just plain rude. Shame on you, whoever did that. Shame on you.
