It's time once again to roll out the red carpet and start working on those acceptance speeches. With the announcement of the Academy Award nominees last week, Oscar season has begun. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis and 2002 Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek announced the nominees for the 79th Academy Awards on Jan.
On Dec. 8, 2007 MTV2 announced Halifax the winner of the MTV2 Dew Circuit Breakout Finale. The pop-punk band from Thousand Oaks, CA competed against Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer and Fallen from the Sky at MTV's Times Square Studios for the hearts of fans across the country.
