Students push to ban Christmas Eve exams

Marist students who took to their keyboards posting rants and protests about next year's proposed winter break schedule on facebook can finally rest easy. After considering the feelings of the student body, Marist has decided to eliminate final exam make-ups on Christmas Eve.

Marist professor receives Fulbright Scholar grant for research in Nepal

Onkar P. Sharma, Ph.D., a professor and graduate director of computer science and mathematics has received a Fulbright Scholar grant to assist at Tribhuvan University in Kitpur, Nepal until August 2007. Abroad, Sharma will be working to assist in the development of faculty, guide master's students through research, and teach at Tribhuvan University.
