The Red Foxes will look to avenge their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) loss of the season, on Saturday Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. as they welcome the first place Loyola Greyhounds to the McCann Center. Currently the Foxes are 15-7 on the season and are in third place in the conference with a 7-4 record.

Rachele Fitz is a 6-foot freshman forward from Seven Hills, Ohio. Fitz began her interest in basketball when she was in second grade, playing for the community recreational league. Fitz's interest in the game grew larger and larger until she reached high school.
With an 80-59 win over conference rival Niagara Sunday, the Marist women's basketball team improved its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) unbeaten streak to 10. The team's 21-point victory at the McCann Center was led by junior guard Nikki Flores who scored a career high 18 points.
Only one sports team at Marist College could start its season in one weekend with four games, two of them against teams in the top-20 nationally, and one taking four overtimes to finish. The women's water polo team traveled to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and they went 2-2 in the Michigan Kick-off Tournament.
The Marist Red Foxes swimming and diving team's quest for a perfect season came to a halt in Baltimore on Saturday when it lost to UMBC 158-120. The Retrievers from Baltimore took advantage of a short-handed Marist squad and lived up to their 5th seeded national ranking as Marist saw its record in dual meets finish at 9-1.
After two consecutive wins to start 2007, Marist's women's swimming and diving team finally tasted defeat last Saturday. The Foxes dropped their final dual meet of the season, 161-130 to the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Only one Red Fox swimmer, freshman Lyndsay Martin, claimed an individual event victory in the loss, besting the field in both the 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard fly with times of 2:09.
This Friday night, the women's basketball team will travel to Jersey City, N.J. to take on Saint Peter's College at the Yanitelli Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Yanitelli Center has been a dreadful environment for Marist, whose last and only win over the Peahens on their home floor was on Feb.
Brian DeMarco Track, Senior DeMarco was named MAAC track performer of the week. The senior captain led the Red Foxes last Friday at the Metropolitan Championships. DeMarco broke the record in the 500-meter, with a time of 1:05.07, breaking his own record.
