Many celebrities these days are falling apart at the seams. These celebrity train wrecks have occurred since the beginning of the world's obsession with Hollywood, but was never as bad as it has been the past few years. The media was not as big a fixture back in the days of Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland. There was no such thing as paparazzi. These women and many more had drug, relationship, alcohol, and depression issues but they were never publicized as much as they would be in today's society. The movie and music stars back in the tinsel town age were larger than life, but the media did not watch their every move like they do now. The media now shows first hand how stars like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and now the late Anna Nicole Smith go off the deep end because they cover their every move.
Just this past weekend, Britney Spears was a main fixture in the media again. Everyone who thought the bald craze was left back in the early nineties with Sinead O'Connor and Demi Moore were wrong. The Pop Princess shaved her head.. This whole fiasco with her hair came the same night she inked two new tattoos on her body. Reports also say that earlier in the week, Spears checked in and out of a rehab treatment center owned by Eric Clapton in Antigua, in the Caribbean. For the past few months since her separation from Kevin Federline, Spears has gone insane. It seems she has attended parties nightly, showed the world that she doesn't always wear underwear and now has shaved her head. I can imagine she is going through a rough time with the divorce and raising two young babies, but she definitely needs help. The poor girl has the media watching her every move. I'll be the first to admit that I was never a huge fan of hers, but I hope for her sake that the media can ease up a bit and she can clean up her act.
Lindsay Lohan seems to have come out a better young woman after receiving treatment the past few months for alcohol abuse. Her weight seems healthier and she doesn't appear to be falling apart like she was in 2006. Only months ago, the child star was going wild, partying and drinking like no other, drastically affecting her acting career. Lohan has the potential to be great at what she does, but she was messing that up by giving into temptations of late nights and drinking. I hope that the new Lindsay can stay this way and get her life back on track.
