Alyssa Hurlbut, Editor in Chief   Alyssa is the Editor in Chief of Marist Circle. She is currently a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in political science. She has been involved in The Circle for three years, serving as the features editor prior to taking on the role of Editor last year. She has also interned with media publications such as the Connecticut Mirror and the Journal Inquirer out of Hartford, Connecticut, and PolitiFact’s Washington DC Bureau. As an aspiring journalist and eventually, human-interest-based author, she believes that journalism is supremely important in catalyzing social change, and she hopes Marist Circle will inspire students on campus in many ways.

  Hannah Kirk, Managing Editor   Hannah is the Managing Editor for Marist Circle. She is currently a junior majoring in communications with a focus in journalism and public relations, and with a dual-minor in political science and media production. She is from Tolland, Connecticut and graduated from Tolland High School.  Since she was young she always knew she wanted to be a writer and has been an avid reader her entire life. She hopes to pursue a career in journalism, focusing on international relations and international correspondence.

She is currently a junior and serves as the Managing Editor of the Marist Circle and as the graphic designer for SnoQap Financial. Before attending Marist, she had served as the Editor in Chief of her high school in Cedar Grove, New Jersey’s, student newspaper and worked as a reporter for her town’s online official newspaper, TapInto Cedar Grove/Verona. Tara aims to work in order to greater preserve public awareness and further tell the stories of others. She is a Ray-Ban addict and Birkenstock enthusiast who keeps seashells from the Jersey Shore in her book bag year-round.
