Tara Guaimano, Editor-in-Chief   Tara Guaimano is a senior political science major with a minor in journalism from Cedar Grove, New Jersey, and is apart of the Honors Program. In 2019, she was the Marist Circle Director of Special Initiatives, and in 2018 was the Editorial Director of For The Record. She served as Marist Circle's Lifestyles Editor in 2016 and News Editor in 2017. In 2019, she was a Copy Intern at the Foundry, a division of the Meredith Corporation in NYC, where she created paid content across all brands, including People, Better Homes & Gardens, Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart Living, and InStyle. In 2018, she was a News Intern for Gannett/USA TODAY NETWORK newspaper, the Asbury Park Press, in Neptune, New Jersey reporting on breaking news and features. Max Smith, Arts & Culture Editor   Max Smith is a junior Communication Major concentrating in Sports Communication. He is from Somerville, Massachusetts and started writing for the Circle in his freshman year. Marika has also served as President of Appreciating Races and Creating Opportunities (ARCO) and helped cultivate a positive community on the Marist campus through reflective discussions and influential events that promoted diversity. Although this is her first time being part of the Marist Circle staff, Marika is thrilled to dive into the stories at Marist and contribute to the journalism being put out for our students and staff. Besides writing, Marika enjoys rollerblading, working out and doing yoga.
