The Hudson Valley is preparing for a lively fall season packed with creative and cultural events. From craft fairs and music performances to festivals celebrating local artisans and traditions, there are numerous opportunities for visitors to engage with the vibrant community throughout September and October.
Art Walk Kingston – Sept. 20-21, 2025
Celebrating its 10th year, Art Walk Kingston continues its annual tradition of opening the doors to art studios across the Hudson Valley. As one of the largest open studio tours in the Hudson Valley, visitors are invited to view paintings, photography, drawings and sculptures throughout the City of Kingston. Only a train ride away, this free, interactive art walk offers something for everyone to enjoy.
Open Mic Nights at Fishkill Farms – Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, and Friday, Oct. 24, 2025
Have you ever wanted to test out your comedy, singing or poetry skills in front of a crowd? Fishkill Farms is hosting its Open Mic Night on Friday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Oct. 24. Take in the beautiful sunset views of the farm while watching other performances or even trying out the stage for yourself.
Eastdale Village Movies on Main – Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025
Did you know Eastdale Village offers more than just exciting and trendy shops to its visitors? On the last Saturday of September, stop by Eastdale to take a trip back to your youth and enjoy a viewing of “Lilo & Stitch.” Don’t forget to check out the various clothing, gift and trinket shops in the village, along with its many delicious eats.
Garrison Craft – Oct. 4-5, 2025
Featuring over 60 artisans with food vendors, music performances and demonstrations, Garrison Craft is the perfect place to explore the Hudson Valley art scene. Nestled right on the Hudson, the Art Center has every kind of craft imaginable, from jewelry to furniture. Purchase tickets online for only $10.
Handcrafted Oktoberfest at Rhinebeck – Oct. 4-5, 2025
Embrace the cultural traditions of Oktoberfest blended with artisanal, agricultural, and musical elements of the Hudson Valley. This event features live entertainment from The Lucky Losers, a San Francisco-based blues band, and Roadhouse, a 1960s cover band. There will also be demonstrations from local blacksmiths, fiber artists, and even an expert pumpkin carver. Tickets cost $13 and are valid for both days.
Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market – Oct. 11-12, 2025
Open for only 10 days throughout the entire summer, take the chance to visit the Stormville Flea Market before it closes. Suppose you’re interested in retro decor, wacky knick-knacks, looking for that perfect collectible or simply wanting to browse. In that case, the flea market’s over 400 vendors will keep you occupied and interested for hours. With free admission and free parking, plus plenty of food vendors, you can make a whole day out of the market.
New York Sheep & Wool Festival – Oct. 18-19, 2025
Find the perfect yarn for your next crochet project at this festival in October. Held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, over 300 wool and fiber artists will have their creations and materials for sale and on display. In addition to the traditional wool and fiber sales, workshops, livestock competitions, and gourmet specialty foods will be available all weekend. Join more than 30,000 visitors who come to this fair every year to celebrate wool and fiber arts.
