Sarci, Mohamed Named 2019-2020 Student Body President and EVP

Following a week of campaigning and three days of voting, the Marist College student body elected President and Executive Vice President to be, Joseph Sarci and Roda Mohamed for the 2019-2020 SGA positions respectively.

In his farewell address Ted Dolce first gave acknowledgement to the hard work of Erin Eldridge ‘21, Director of Elections Commission.

Dolce then shouted out his Executive Vice President, Ankofa Billips ‘19, for her hard work throughout the year, simply saying, “I thank you and I thank you.”

Dolce went on to say, “To everyone who came out and has supported, please hold all leaders accountable and make sure all your needs are taken care of.”

Before handing the microphone to Eldridge to announce class positions for student body President and Vice President, Dolce left us by saying, “At end of the day we are all Marist student...in working with each other and collaboration can we surely make Marist a living space for us all.”

In his acceptance speech Sarci said, “I want to thank everyone who made this possible. I want to thank everyone who chose us to represent the needs of the student body. We are humbled that you would place your trust in us. This is not something that we take lightly.”
