Marist Puts Manhattan Executive Center on the Market for $21.5 million

Marist College is selling its 420 Fifth Ave. Executive Center in midtown Manhattan, just two years after its purchase. The asking price for the 18,000-square-foot space is $21.5 million, Marist’s Director of Media Relations Julia Fishman confirmed.

“The College remains committed to maintaining a Marist presence in New York City and will look for space that more closely aligns with our long-term goals, which includes our popular Marist in Manhattan Program, internships, additional academic offerings and events,” the college shared in a statement.

The center opened in the spring of 2019, hosting an event with NBC anchor Lester Holt in April 2019. It held two summer pre-college programs last summer, the Career Trek alumni reception in November and, recently, the Communications, TV, & Film Internship and Job Fair in February, among other events.

When the college announced its $18.4 million purchase of the entire 14th floor in 2018, it heralded an expansion of Marist’s programs, and promoted the center as “a central New York City location for its innovative academic offerings for graduate, adult, undergraduate, and corporate programs” and a featured location for special events.

“Marist’s ties to New York City are numerous, and the Marist College Executive Center in midtown will allow us do even more to connect our comprehensive academic and professional education programs to the New York City market,” Geoffrey Brackett, Executive Vice President, said in 2018.
